Philip R. Moody LL.B (Hons) Senior Partner
After obtaining a Degree at University College, London, Philip trained at a solicitor's firm in Chancery Lane, and after qualifying as a solicitor worked in Lincoln's Inn Fields and then as a partner in a West End firm for approximately 5 years. He set up his present practice in Kew in 1968. He has recently celebrated 40 years in Kew, and has a detailed knowledge of the area.
Over the years he has dealt with a wide range of legal matters, including residential and commercial conveyancing, High Court and County Court litigation, wills and probate, divorce and family law, drink and club licences, Landlord and Tenant law, planning, and for many years (but not now) criminal defence work.
At present the firm specialises in all types of residential and commercial conveyancing, wills and probate, but is still equipped to deal with most aspects of law and offers a friendly and personal service.
Emily A. Hodges LL.B (Hons) Partner
Emily came to Kew in 2003 after working in firms in the West End and Chiswick. She specialises in residential property matters, including conveyancing of freehold and leasehold properties, mortgages, collective enfranchisement and lease extensions, and has extensive experience dealing with clients from first time buyers to developers and investors. She also acts for residents' companies.
Emily has experience dealing with a range of private client matters, including drafting Wills and powers of attorney, and administering estates, including obtaining grants of probate and advising executors.She is studying for a STEP Diploma in trusts and estates.
She is also happy to advise clients involved in personal disputes such as debt and contract claims, and can provide assistance for those going through a divorce.
Alice F. Kentish LL.B (Hons) Conveyancing & Private Client Executive
Alice joined the firm in 2006, having previously gained over 20 years' experience in legal practices, including 2 years at Merton Borough Council and 10 years at a Property Law Centre in South West London.
Alice has experience dealing with various matters, including the following:
